Description:

Belhaven Wee Heavy is a classic example of the style of beer that was brewed in Scotland in the 1800's. Deep garnet in color, it's malty peat aroma gives way to a slightly sweet, delicately smoky taste, and finishes with the rounded warmth of its 5.2% abv. Although the first impulse is to pair smoky beers with barbecued meats or smoked fish, Wee Heavy is also the perfect companion to desserts like apple cobbler. Its rich and complex character is best appreciated at between 55-60 degrees F.
