BELUKUS OFFERS TIMMERMANS

Timmermans Brewery
A family tradition – and one that has been perpetuated for more than 229 years going all the way back to 1781 when Timmermans started brewing Gueuze Lambic in Itterbeek just a few kilometers from the centre of Brussels. At the time, the brewery was known under the name of ‘Brasserie de la Taupe’. Today, Timmermans that has been part of the ‘Finest Beer Selection’ of John Martin since 1993, has succeeded in retaining its authenticity and expertise while simultaneously benefitting from the unique expertise of ‘Martin’s Finest Beers Selection’.
In the beginning was the Lambic: this unique beer brewed on the basis of 30% wheat for more than two centuries by the Timmermans Brewery in Itterbeek, one of the very last still in business. Originally, a miracle: microorganisms in the Senne Valley air got into the wort and provoked spontaneous fermentation. That’s why a true lambic is brewed only within a 15km radius of Brussels: in the Pajottenland. The Timmermans lambic is a real jewel of the land of beer. To be drunk between 5° and 7°C.
